Cactus Language Affiliate Terms and Conditions:
- Anyone with a website in any country worldwide can apply to be a Cactus
Language Affiliate (Affiliates must usually have a website to participate
in the scheme. If you do not have a website but still want to refer lots of
your friends, colleagues or students to us, please e-mail
us).
- After applying you will receive email confirmation that you have been accepted
as an affiliate. You can then login and create your custom homepage which
you must link to from your own website using one of the Cactus Language banners
or text links. This enables us to track client orders and bookings coming
in via the link on your website using the unique Affiliate id contained in
the URL (website address). You can also use the text link in your e-mail signatures
to further increase sales.
- All tracked referrals will be logged in Cactus Language’s online reservations
system in the same place as the order details of the client. (Where potential
or existing clients bookmark a page reached through your Affiliate link, the
referral Affiliate will be stored in a cookie on their own computer which
will not expire for 24 months, although there is no way to stop a potential
client deleting this cookie manually. If a client has already visited the
Cactus website directly or via another affiliate, then the original cookie
will have been set and the cookie from your site will not override the cookie
on their own computer. Cactus accept no responsibility for situations where
a client subsequently uses a different browser or computer to complete their
order).
- We will then pay the Affiliate a 10%
commission for each new booking coming in through their link. These amounts
are paid on completion of the service by Cactus Language of any language course,
associated accommodation and airport transfer only (please note that commission
on accommodation and airport transfers is only applicable where a corresponding
language course is also booked). Commission will not be paid on other products
including flights, insurance, car hire, accommodation or airport transfer
only bookings, gift vouchers, books, music, videos and visa service. The level
of commission that will be payable is the current level at the time an order
is completed (not when it is started).
- By logging in to the Affiliates section of our website, you will be able
to monitor your Next Payment Date, your Payment Frequencies, your Current
Commission Rate. We will also provide you with an online up-to-date record
of the commission you have earned with details of the completed orders that
have resulted from clickthroughs from your links. These details will include
the Cactus Booking Order Number, the target language, destination city and
country, the number of weeks of the course and the number of students, the
start and end dates, the total course and accommodation price (listed separately),
the total commissionable price and your total commission (paid to date, and
payable in the future) will be shown. You will also be able to see records
of any Pending Orders - these include orders made by one of your referrals
where at least a deposit has been paid, which have not yet been completed
(payments will not be made until the order is completed, as described above).
- Where referrals are made by e-mail, telephone or personal contact (rather
than from a website link), these orders will be manually changed on our Administration
System by Cactus consultants to ensure that the appropriate affiliate is logged.
You will be able to check this by logging-on to the system - these orders
will be displayed on the system once a deposit or full payment is made.
- You will also be notified by e-mail every time an order is completed, based
on a referral from your website. An order will be considered to have been
made once a client (language student) has finished their course, and all payments
have been received from the client and paid out to suppliers (language schools
or accommodation).
- This commission will be paid regularly by cheque or bank transfer. The
method of payment, frequency of payment (from every month to every 6 months
depending on volume) and rate of commission will be agreed with individual
Affiliates.
- You are responsible for paying taxation (where applicable) on the commissions
we give you. We will not deduct any tax on your behalf.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel registration at any time solely
at our discretion.
- All disagreements arising from this agreement shall be governed according
to English law, and any matters arising out if it shall be subject to the
jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
