 :: Your Feedback - Bogotá, San Sebastián & Aix-en-Provence

The school was well staffed and very friendly. Activities were really well
organised and ensured that students intergrated themeselves. Santiago was
an amazing city: quiet when you want
it to be and loud and crazy when you
want it to be. I stayed in a homestay
and I loved it - the people were
incredibly friendly, accepting me into
their family and taking care of
everything for me. The culture in a
Chilean family is what really made it
such an amazing experience."

"The school was fantastic: the
classes were taught in Spanish by excellent teachers. The staff were helpful and the atmosphere really
good - very international & friendly.
I feel that I've made huge progress. San Sebastián is the perfect location:
it has good public transport, great restaurants & bars, good shopping
and beautiful beaches. We were
there for 'grand semana' so
enjoyed all the activites and the
spectacular firework competition!"

"The school and classes were
excellent, and the staff are
extremely friendly and helpful. All
speak very good English for when
your French isn't good enough! The town of Aix is very pretty - lots of
little streets, squares and fountains,
and loads of restaurants. The weather
in Provence in summer is fantastic,
and it invites an outdoor life of
relaxing, eating and drinking. It's
perfect as a location and we would certainly return here in the future."

:: Two Weeks in the Life of a Cactus Language Training Client - Spanish in Colombia

Melanie (right) & Astrid (left) in Bogotá

When the opportunity arose for Melanie Lombard to do some research for her Masters in Colombia, she jumped at the chance. Cactus Language Training arranged a last-minute and highly personalised Spanish course for her, with a qualified, native teacher, in the pulsating capital of Bogotá. Melanie kept a diary of her experience, from her initial decision to go to her first thrilling words in a Spanish-speaking environment.

"The best thing is the amount of incidental conversation with the course, as you have the teacher’s undivided attention. Astrid and I are the same age so finding things in common is easy! Out and about, practice my Spanish on taxi drivers and waiters. Most of the time we seem to understand each other, although I did buy what I thought was coconut tea, to discover it was actually made from cocaine leaf!" Read more...
