Rome wasn't built in a day', so they say. Well, how right they
are. Its foundations may have been laid by the early Roman Empire,
but the influence of medieval, Renaissance and Baroque over the
centuries has not gone unnoticed. So much so that the Eternal City
is today a legendary, captivating and beautiful city. And in amongst
the ruins la dolce vita is as sweet, and as exciting, as in any
European city, the root of a modern and lively metropolis with an
endless range of nightspots and entertainment. Augustus would have
been proud to see how his city has flourished.
