Verona, Italy
Italy is a country of contrasts, beauty and
romance. It's also a country where good taste in fashion and food
is a pre-requisite to survival.

Verona is one of the most beautiful and fascinating cities in
Italy, a city of contrasts and historical puzzles. An important
city during Roman times, it was during the 13th and 14th centuries
that it really flourished, under the Della Scala family - although
this was also a period of bitter family feuding, setting the scene
perfectly for the city's most famous export, Romeo & Juliet.
Shakespeare fans can even swoon beneath the mythical balcony at
Casa di Giulietta. But there's a whole lot more to this charming
city than a tragic love story: Verona boasts ancient Roman ruins,
fine churches and palaces, a huge amount of cultural offerings,
a year-long calendar of festivals, and - in true Italian style -
delicious food and wine. Little wonder the Veronesi are so proud
of their home...
